Padmaavat Review:A Visual Delight!

After so many controversies and a long wait,Padmaavat finally got released in theatres with few cuts. And according to me,this movie delivers what we expected from it.

Padmaavati, the princess of Singhal, fell in love with Raja Ratan Singh, the king of Chittor when he once visited Singhal. They both married each other and were living their life happily. But then, their happiness was over with the arrival of Alauddin Khilji in their life.Alauddin Khilji, the nephew of King Jalaluddin Firuz Khilji, married his daughter,Mehrunisa, but he later killed his uncle for the throne. He felt that he has the right to conquer every beautiful thing in the world. When he came to know about the princess Padmaavati,he went to Chittor for conquering her,but he was not able to do so as entering inside the fort was not easy. But Alauddin tricked Raja Ratan Singh and captured him and would leave him only when he will get Padmaavati.Padmaavati did so,but she and Raja Ratan Singh somehow managed to come back, but Raja Ratan Singh already declared Alauddin Khilji about the war.In the war, only Raja Ratan Singh and Alauddin Khilji were going to fight with each other. But when
Alauddin Khilji was about to die,his army attacked Raja Ratan Singh and he died.On the other hand,Rani Padmaavati didn't want to give up,so she committed Johar, which proved to be the biggest defeat for Alauddin Khilji.

This movie has some amazing scenes and especially the climax scene will definitely give you goosebumps.

The story is good, but according to me,performance is the main strength of this epic tale.Ranveer Singh is extraordinary in the role of Alauddin Khilji. After watching this movie you will feel that he was the best for this role.I am in love with his performance.Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have also performed their role very well.Jim Sarbh in the role of Alauddin's slave and Aditi Rao Hydri in the role of Alauddin's wife are also good.

Padmaavat is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and he deserves full marks for his work.He has taken care of every aspect of this movie. The giant sets, designer jewellery, cinemotograhy, background music, action scenes, and all other things are nearly perfect. The only think I felt which could have been better is editing. The duration of the movie could have been reduced by 15-20 minutes.

All in all,Padmaavat is a visual delight! So I suggest you to watch it and I think that you fall in love with this movie.
